Playing their Part at Eastbrookend Country Park

On Friday 26th April, students from our Finding Futures programme at Five Elms Primary School visited Eastbrookend Country Park for their Play Your Part day.

Under the guidance of Jerome, Park Ranger at Eastbrookend Country Park, the students got stuck in with weeding, watering and protecting a number of newly planted trees.

After a well-deserved lunch break, Jerome took the students on a tour of the park, providing plenty of informative commentary on all the different wildlife and plant life that the park provides a home for.

Using this information, the students then worked in teams to complete the Play Your Part day challenge; a group presentation on Protecting our local green spaces for the future. The Yes Futures staff were treated to a creative array of amazing presentations including a short drama sketch, posters and poetry!

It was an excellent day and a great opportunity for our Finding Futures students to develop their Yes Futures talents in a new environment. Thank you to Jerome and his team at Eastbrookend Country Park for hosting us!

Here's a before and after!
