Interested in becoming a Yes Futures Coach?

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteer Coaches to help run the Yes Futures programmes from September 2021 - March 2022. 

The role of every Yes Futures Coach is to empower young people to believe in themselves.

Coaches will support students aged 8-16, coaching them either individually or in small groups to develop confidence, resilience, communication and self-awareness, through a structured personal development framework.

Every new volunteer will start as a One-to-One Coach with secondary school students. 

If you've Coached with Yes Futures on a previous programme, you can apply for our Impact Coach position supporting either primary or secondary students.  

Yes Futures runs two programmes per year, September - March and March - July. Please register your interest below to start your journey to becoming a Yes Futures Coach.

One-to-one Coaching with Yes Futures

Who are we are looking for?

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to be an integral part of the Yes Futures programmes as a Yes Futures Coach, working online with students who attend secondary schools across London, East Anglia and the South.

Coaching experience is not necessary as full training is provided, but commitment and enthusiasm are essential. If you have a proactive attitude and feel excited and committed to Yes Futures’ vision of helping young people become confident, resilient and lead fulfilling lives, then we want to hear from you!


 

What does a Yes Futures Coach do? 

You will be involved in coaching secondary school students by empowering them through our personal development programme. After completing your first programme you can progress to be an Impact Coach. You can read all about the various elements of our programme here:

We cover all expenses, provide full training, DBS checks and ongoing support throughout the programme.

Impact Coach role - new for September 2021

If you have Coached on a previous Yes Futures programme, you are eligible to progress to our Impact Coach role. 

We have introduced this after feedback from our community of Coaches wanting to develop their skills further. 

As an Impact Coach you will amplify the impact of our programmes by working closely with the Programme Manager to support all students and Coaches within a school cohort. 

  • Supporting students through delivery of coaching activities in small groups 

  • Supporting students to engage with the sessions, e.g. if shy or nervous 

  • Supporting the running of trip days, encouraging students to focus on and achieve their goals

  • Write brief notes on students after the coaching sessions and trip days

  • Supporting the Programme Manager with the running of sessions and trips

In primary schools - Finding Futures 

In secondary schools - Rising Futures 

  • Supporting students to be prepared for their coaching session and in getting online to speak to their One-to-One Coach

  • Supporting the running of trip days, encouraging students to focus on and achieve their goals

  • Write brief notes on students after the trip days

  • Supporting Coaches through delivering/supporting the pre-session briefing and the post-session debrief

  • Supporting Coaches through observing sessions and providing tailored feedback
