As we mark the end of the academic year, we’re excited to share our 2024 Impact Report, reflecting on the powerful difference Yes Futures has made this year, and to introduce an important change in our leadership.
This year’s report highlights the lasting impact of our programmes, even during a time of significant transition. We’ve continued to empower young people to believe in themselves and discover their potential, with clear progress in our four talent areas: confidence, resilience, self-awareness and communication. Behind every statistic is a story of a young person finding their voice, setting meaningful goals, and taking steps toward a brighter future.

At the same time, we’re also celebrating a key moment of transition within our Board of Trustees. After five years of exceptional service, Andrew Thraves is stepping down as Chair, and we are delighted to welcome Emily Ramji as his successor.
A message from Andrew, outgoing Chair:
“As I step down from my role as Chair of Yes Futures, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone I’ve had the privilege of working alongside over the past five years. It has been an honour to support such a great organisation through a period of significant change — navigating the challenges of the pandemic, embracing new ways of working, and always keeping the needs of young people at the heart of what we do.
I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved together — from strengthening the governance of the charity, to supporting Sarah as she grew the organisation, to overseeing a leadership transition, and to continuing to develop and adapt our programmes in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.
None of this would have been possible without the commitment, talent, and shared purpose of my fellow trustees and the fantastic Yes Futures team.
I’m delighted to be handing over to Emily, our new Chair, who brings simultaneously a fresh energy coupled with a deep understanding of the organisation. With her leadership, Ali’s vision as CEO, and the dedication of the whole board, I have every confidence that Yes Futures will continue to thrive and empower even more young people to believe in themselves and discover their potential.”
A message from Emily, incoming Chair:

“I would like to extend a big thank you to Andrew for all he has contributed during his tenure as Chair. Since joining as a Trustee in 2021, Andrew has successfully led our Trustee board through the challenges of Covid and significant shifts in the education and external landscape.
As I step into the Chair role myself, I am excited about the opportunity to partner closely with our new CEO, Ali, and the Yes Futures team as they continue to empower young people through both our existing programmes and new innovations.
With the support of the wider board, including Jess, Malcolm, Jo, and Ananya, we are committed to enabling Yes Futures to maintain its positive impact on the young people our programmes reach.”
We’re incredibly grateful to Andrew for his leadership, wisdom and unwavering support, and thrilled to welcome Emily into the role as we look to the future.
As always, we’re very thankful to our community of supporters, coaches, volunteers, funders, and partner schools. Your belief in young people and in us makes all of this possible.
