Building with Focus: Our 2025 Annual Impact Report and Governance Update

At Yes Futures, our foundational belief is that positive futures begin with self-belief. In an educational landscape where young people face persistent barriers to thriving both in and out of the classroom, targeted, evidence-based support is more critical than ever. Without it, vulnerable students face a high risk of academic disengagement and reduced life chances.

We are very pleased to share that our 2025 Annual Impact Report is now available. Looking back, 2025 was a profoundly important year for Yes Futures—one marked by structural resilience, operational success, and a clear step forward in the depth of our student impact.

Hard work and transition

The start of 2025 was a challenging point for the charity. However, thanks to the immense dedication and hard work of our Trustees, funders, school partners, volunteer coaches, and central team, we successfully transitioned to a leaner structure that is perfectly fit to navigate the years ahead.

By managing our resources carefully, we worked hard to make our programmes more effective and efficient. We are proud to report that we concluded the financial year with a healthy surplus. This crucial milestone allows us to begin proactively rebuilding our reserves, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our work and giving us a stable foundation to look ahead to the future with confidence.

Our impact: Reaching a new high

Most importantly, our latest evaluation data demonstrates that the impact on the young people we support has reached an all-time high. When compared directly with our 2024 results, our year-on-year metrics show a fantastic upward trend across all core areas:

  • 📈 96% of students made clear, measurable progress in core skill areas like confidence, resilience, communication, and self-awareness—up from 92% in 2024.

  • 🎒 84% of participants feel more prepared for their future after completing their coaching—up from 82% in 2024.

  • 💡 84% of our young people now recognise that they have unique skills that are truly valuable to others—an increase from 81% last year.

  • 🕒 105 volunteer coaches gave up a massive 3,959 hours of their time to mentor and support 269 students across our primary and secondary cohorts.

Behind each of these numbers is a personal journey of a young person breaking through their comfort zone, discovering hidden strengths, and building the self-belief required to succeed in school and beyond.

Strategic innovation for 2026

We have used the momentum from 2025 to design and deliver two exciting new service streams developed to expand our reach, meet national education policy demands, and diversify our income. Throughout 2026, we are looking forward to growing:

  1. Launching Futures: A tailored post-16 adaptation of our flagship coaching model, designed to support students navigating industry placements, further education, and workplace transitions.

  2. The Yes Futures Licensed Coach Programme: Launched in late 2025, this national model allows external youth practitioners to be trained and licensed in our proven methodology, scaling our impact to communities across the UK.

Strengthening our governance: Welcoming new trustees

As we enter this next exciting phase of strategy and product expansion, strong governance remains central to our mission. We are absolutely delighted to welcome three new Trustees to the Yes Futures Board: Stephen Edward, Edward May, and Emily Kirwan.

Bringing a wealth of diverse expertise spanning senior educational leadership, technology, corporate affairs, and strategic communications, our new Trustees join us at a pivotal moment. Their collective insights will be invaluable as we shape our future strategy, maximize the efficiency of our delivery, and expand our reach to more young people across the country.

"I’m delighted to welcome three new Trustees to the Yes Futures Board. Joining us at an important stage of our journey, each brings a wealth of skills, experience, and fresh perspectives that will help shape our future strategy, strengthen the impact of our existing programmes, and support the development of new innovations as we continue working to empower young people." — Emily Ramji, Yes Futures’ Chair of Trustees

We extend our deepest thanks to our new Trustees for dedicating their time to our mission, and our profound gratitude to our coaches, school networks and funders who stood by us during a transformative year. Together, we are making a difference.
