On 27th June, our Rising Futures students from Hoe Valley School were warmly welcomed by the staff at ZS Associates for an amazing World of Work Day.
For many of our students, this was their first time visiting a professional office setting. We were so thrilled that the students had the opportunity to see marketing professionals in action at one of the leading consulting agencies in the world.
We began our day with a fun marketing challenge from the staff at ZS Associates. During the exercise, the students were tasked with selling different brands of shoes to a panel of judges. The students demonstrated amazing communication and confidence skills when they were pitching their products. By the end of the activity, everyone in the room was ready to buy all of the shoes!
After lunch, the students were given the opportunity to learn about the different departments within the company. The students asked the professionals a variety of questions during the speed-networking session and learned more about the different clients that the company serves. In addition to gaining marketing skills, the students learned so much about new technological advancements in the pharmaceutical industry and about the next breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence technology. The students were awed by this new information and loved learning about what the future holds!
Seeing the students’ confidence grow as they asked questions about the marketing process and what daily life is like working at ZS Associates was so empowering. The students were deeply engaged in the conversations and learned so much from these professionals!
Yes Futures is so proud of our Hoe Valley students. They demonstrated amazing confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and communication skills during their time at ZS Associates.
