Julian’s Primary Students Become App Developers at Zone Digital for World of Work Day

On 1st July, our Finding Futures students from Julian’s Primary School visited Zone Digital for an amazing and tech-filled World of Work Day.

For many of our students, this was their first time visiting a professional office setting. We were so thrilled that the students had the opportunity to see creative professionals in action at one of the leading full-service digital agencies in the UK.

The students began their World of Work Day with games and quizzes that helped to introduce them to Zone Digital’s various projects and partnerships. The students were then given a tour of the office and were greeted by different department heads, who shared with our students valuable information about working in the technological field.

After lunch, the students were given the opportunity to ask the developers about their careers. During the speed-networking session, the students asked awesome questions, such as:

‘What educational background should I have in order to work at Zone Digital?’

‘What have been some of your favourite digital marketing campaigns?’ and

‘What are some of the daily tasks of an app developer?’

The students asked brilliant questions and we saw their confidence skyrocket as time passed. The students were deeply engaged in the conversations and learned so much from these professionals!

Then, the students participated in an app development game. During the activity, the students were tasked with developing a new app that Zone Digital could use to attract younger customers. Our students demonstrated wonderful communication and creativity skills as they collaborated to put together their proposals. They demonstrated amazing confidence by sharing their proposals with a panel of judges and showcased their resilience by answering some tough questions with grace and poise!

Yes Futures is incredibly proud of our Finding Futures students from Julian’s Primary School. They demonstrated strong confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and communication skills during their time at Zone Digital.

Thank you to Zone Digital for a lovely World of Work Day!
