You're about to venture Into the Wild!

As part of the Finding Futures programme, our Into the Wild experience is a brilliant opportunity for students to showcase all that they have learnt in their coaching sessions, as they will get to put their Resilience and Communication skills to the test!

About the weekend
About the weekend

Over the weekend - Friday 27th - Sunday 29th January - students will be participating in a variety of activities, which might include:

  • Crate stack

  • Leap of faith

  • Problem solving

  • Jacob's ladder

  • Team games

We cannot guarantee that students will be able to take part in all of these activities.

All activities will be led by fully trained Kingswood centre staff and supervised by the Yes Futures team. The trip will be attended by students from up to eight of our other partner schools.

What to bring

What do you need to bring?

The following list is designed to give you an idea of the kit students will need to pack for the weekend.

They will be responsible for carrying their luggage to and from the bedrooms on arrival and departure, therefore we recommend sticking to the list as much as possible so children only carry what they really need for their trip.

When packing, please keep in mind that clothes and shoes will be worn to undertake physical outdoor activity, often in muddy conditions, so we strongly recommend packing worn, comfortable clothing and footwear that you’re happy to get wet and muddy!

If there are items on the list you don't have or can't borrow, please don't worry. There is NO expectation for you to buy new things.  Please get in touch with your Yes Futures Programme Manager in advance, so that we can check if the item can be borrowed from the centre.

Students will need to bring a packed lunch for the first day, Friday 27th January. After that, all food will be provided throughout the weekend.

Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

As with all of our trips, we have a Code of Conduct to outline expectations for the weekend.

Please ensure that both you and your parents familiarise yourselves with this ahead of the weekend.

Confirming your place
How do you confirm your place?

In order to attend, your parent/carer must complete an online Information and Medication Consent Form.

You can access it here.

This form will update or confirm any support, medication and emergency contact details you gave us at the start of the programme.

Please complete this form as soon as possible and no later than Monday 9th January.
