PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Ofsted has now created a separate section for ‘personal development’ “to acknowledge the importance of pupils’ wider personal development and their opportunities to grow as active, healthy and engaged citizens.”
Teachers have always recognised the importance of looking after pupils’ broader development and preparing them for life after education and now they will get the recognition they deserve for all of their extra efforts. However, the main challenge for schools will be how to quickly and easily provide evidence to Ofsted inspectors.
Due to the pandemic, many things were put on hold including Ofsted inspections. Ofsted has now announced their “phased return”, which is leaving school’s feeling a little off-balance as they juggle students returning to the classroom while trying to make sure everything else is in place for inspections.
But not to worry - whether you are a teacher, headteacher or SLT we’re here to help answer all the important questions and give you the information and tools you need to ensure you feel better prepared and confident for your next Ofsted visit.
